What is a disease?

The symptoms of a disease are the external expression of the internal imbalance of our body-. They are the result of the effort made by our defense mechanism to restore health.

The symptoms are only a voice of alarm, a guide for healing. If we remove them without treating the original cause, we eliminate the messenger, but not the message that in many occasions will show up in another organ, apparently unrelated or more invisible to the eye.
Consultation
In the homeopathic interview, usually around an hour, we not only focus on the physical symptoms, in requesting routines and evaluating complementary diagnostic studies. We also focus on the mental, emotional and general state that accompanies the disease (sleep disturbance, appetite, sensitivity to temperatures, etc.) to have the necessary information to administer the most appropriate medication for each patient. The purpose of this medication is to activate the healing process.
Homeopathy for children and pregnancy
Homeopathy is effective in all diseases of children, in the discomfort of pregnant women, without any risk to the fetus and in any disease in adults, which does not require surgery or intensive care. That is why we treat both children and adults with the same approach, since the homeopath comes today to replace the old family doctor

Homeopathy is a process of natural healing in which the remedies are used by the body to heal itself by stimulating its’ natural healing powers. The name is derived from two Greek words and means treating ‘like with like’. This means that when one is treating a person with homeopathy, a substance is used which produces in a healthy person symptoms and signs similar to those presented by the person.

Homeopathic medicines are made mainly from plants and minerals, by a specific dilution process, to stimulate the body's own natural healing response.
Are there any side effects of the remedies?

Homeopathic remedies cannot cause side effects and you cannot become addicted to them. This is because only a very minute amount of the active ingredient is used in a specially prepared form.

How long does a treatment take?

This depends very much on what sort of illness you have, as well as the other individual characteristics of your case. So it is not realistic for your homeopath to assess this until it can be seen how you respond to the remedies prescribed over some time. It is possible to say that a slowly developing complaint, or one that has been experienced for some years, will not disappear immediately although there may be a response and some improvement quite soon.
